Mothering Sunday
Enjoy... taking a stroll through Cumberland Butterfly house gardens, minding not to step on the profusion of Crocus peeping through the grassy lawns, view ahead the Canoe Lake and the graceful Swans on the chilly waters. In the garden on the left the sweet smell of flowering Rosemary bushes, and you are 'There'...The brightly painted Blue gates of the Southsea Green Gardens welcoming visitors to “Step Beyond the Gates”.
The warm Spring sunshine has brought on the small pots of flowering plants just ready for Mothering Sunday.... so, bring the children along to share their laughter at the number of Scarecrows dotted along the garden paths as they suggest a name for each one. Spot the frogs jumping in the Wildlife pond, peer hard and see the newts hiding at the bottom amongst the greenery and the frog's spawn... Whilst the main gardens are rejoicing in their Spring coats ready to burst into colour with a little more warmer and bright weather, so 'step along'
and visit us at Southsea Green Garden... Canoe Lake. Next Garden Get together open to all is April 1st between 12 and 2pm
